I became interested in complementary therapies many years ago through my own dis-ease, when I was living in the Highlands.
When I moved to Edinburgh I realised I could do Reflexology training, hurrah. I qualified as a Reflexolgist in 1989 and then
studied Reiki I and Reiki II in 1990 and I became a Reiki Master Teacher in 2000.
I also qualified as a Social worker in 1991 and practiced for almost 10 years, most of the time with me remit being counselling. It was while I was a social worker I discovered Cranio-Sacral Therapy.
Due to my health difficulties I had tried various different techniques, then I discovered Cranio-Sacral Therapy. After my first appointment I was astounded that I felt totally relaxed, I knew I had released a lot of tension, physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually, and yet the session was so gentle. I walked out feeling taller.
I was "hooked" on Cranio-Sacral Therapy however it took me several years to find the right teacher. I qualified in 1999 as a Cranio-Sacral Practitioner Training Scotland.
I have also completed Equine Cranio-Sacral Training and training with babies and also CST 1 and CST 2.
I have studied many subjects and updated skills on a regular basis. I am still astounded about the beauty in the different ways in which I work and am always learning new techniques to enhance what I do.
My passions in my life, as well as my work are my family, music, singing, dancing, reading, Chi Flow and continuing to learn and enjoy life.
